Sometimes you’ve already got the truck, and what you need is the crew. Better Choice Moving’s labor-only service sends trained, uniformed movers to load or unload your rental truck, moving container or storage unit. Loading is a skill

A container or truck that’s loaded badly shifts on the road. When that happens, heavy items slide, boxes crush and furniture gets scratched or broken. Our crews:

• Wrap and pad furniture before it goes in, using moving pads and shrink-wrap
• Load heavy pieces first and low, and keep weight balanced across the floor of the truck or container
• Build tight, stable tiers of boxes so nothing tips
• Strap and secure each section while the load goes in
• Protect your home, including doorways and floors, while we carry things out

Good to know before we arrive

1. Before we arrive, have the truck or container on site and parked where it’s legal and reachable. Also tell us about steep driveways or tight streets.
2. Have boxes packed and sealed, unless you’ve booked our packers.
3. Let us know about pianos, safes or unusually heavy pieces ahead of time, since they may need our oversized-item crew.
4. Finally, keep valuables, medications and important papers with you.

Most damage in a do it yourself move happens because the load shifts. Our crew wraps furniture in moving blankets, builds the load in tiers from heavy to light, and straps each section so it stays put. When we unload, we place furniture in the right rooms and can rebuild beds and tables if you ask.
