Looking for Montgomery County movers who answer their own phone? Better Choice Moving is based at 420 Station Rd in Quakertown, just up Route 309 from the North Penn area, and many of our residential moves start in Montco. That means shorter travel, crews who already know the roads, and owners who pick up. Call 215-622-8140 and you’ll talk to Cameron, Antonio or Ashley, not a call center.

Montgomery County movers from Better Choice Moving on a local residential move

One county, very different moving days

Montco stretches from Pottstown to the city line, and the homes change every few miles. Here’s what that looks like on moving day.

North Penn and Indian Valley. Hatfield, Lansdale, North Wales, Montgomeryville, Colmar, Harleysville, Souderton and Telford are a short drive from our Quakertown base. Expect 1950s-70s split-levels and colonials, newer townhome communities off Route 309 and Route 63, and HOA rules about trucks and move-in hours. Lansdale’s borough streets near Main Street and the train station are narrow, so we plan parking ahead of time.

The Main Line. In Lower Merion (Ardmore, Bryn Mawr, Gladwyne, Narberth, Wynnewood, Merion Station and Bala Cynwyd), many homes are older fieldstone houses with plaster walls, steep staircases, tight landings and long carries from the street. These are the moves where our white-glove service earns its keep: banisters and door frames padded, heirlooms crated, and large pieces placed exactly where you want them.

The river towns

Conshohocken, Norristown and Bridgeport have rowhomes on steep streets alongside newer apartment buildings near the Schuylkill. Rowhome moves mean narrow stairways, furniture that sometimes has to come apart to get through the door, and parking that has to be worked out with the borough. Apartment buildings usually want a certificate of insurance and a reserved elevator. Our apartment movers handle both.

Blue Bell, Ambler, Fort Washington and Plymouth Meeting. These are larger single-family homes with finished basements and long driveways. They’re also close to office parks, so a lot of these moves come with a commercial move or a corporate relocation at the same time.

King of Prussia and western Montco. KOP brings high-rise and garden apartments and lots of relocating professionals. Out along Route 422 in Collegeville, Trappe, Royersford and Limerick, there’s newer construction with fresh floors and paint we protect from the first box to the last.

Eastern Montco. Abington, Jenkintown, Glenside, Elkins Park, Willow Grove and Horsham have older twins and stone colonials, plus military families near the Horsham air guard base. See military and corporate relocation.

College moves in Montco

Students and families at Ursinus College in Collegeville, Arcadia University in Glenside, Gwynedd Mercy University, Bryn Mawr College and Penn State Abington all call us for dorm and apartment moves. They’re small and time-sensitive, and our moving labor or apartment crews are a good fit.

Frequently asked questions

Where is Better Choice Moving located?

Our headquarters and vault storage warehouse are at 420 Station Rd, Quakertown, PA 18951, a short drive up Route 309 from the North Penn area of Montgomery County. You’re welcome to stop by.

Do you move older Main Line homes?

Yes. We move a lot of older stone homes in Lower Merion and along the Main Line. We pad banisters and door frames, protect floors, wrap every piece of furniture, and offer white-glove crating and placement for antiques and art.

Can you handle apartment buildings in King of Prussia or Conshohocken?

Yes. Tell us the building’s requirements when you book. Most buildings ask for a certificate of insurance and a reserved elevator or loading dock time, and we’ll coordinate both with building management.

Do you offer storage if my closing dates don’t line up?

Yes. With our move-and-store service, we load your home, hold everything in vault storage at our Quakertown warehouse, and deliver when your new home is ready.

Do you move offices in Montgomery County too?

Yes. We move offices, retail spaces and warehouses around Montgomeryville, Blue Bell, Fort Washington and King of Prussia, including after-hours and weekend moves.
