Residential Movers in Lehigh County, from Allentown Rowhomes to Route 100 New Builds
Lehigh County residential movers for Allentown, Emmaus, Macungie, Whitehall and Center Valley. Rowhomes, new builds and vault storage.
For residential movers in Lehigh County, the hard part isn’t the distance. It’s the stoop on a Center City Allentown rowhome, the HOA rulebook in a new Upper Macungie subdivision, and the Route 22 traffic in between. Better Choice Moving is a family-run home mover with its vault storage warehouse at 420 Station Rd in Quakertown, a straight run down Route 309 from Coopersburg and Center Valley, and its office in Hatfield. We protect every floor and doorway, wrap and pad every piece, and place your furniture where it belongs. Call 215-622-8140 or book your move online.

Allentown, block by block
Center City and the rowhome neighborhoods
Allentown’s rowhomes put the front door at the top of a steep stoop and the bedrooms at the top of a narrow, sometimes winding staircase. Many blocks also have a rear alley, and sometimes the back of the house is the better place to load. We decide that during the estimate, along with where the truck can legally stop. Sofas and box springs that won’t make the turn get taken apart and put back together on the other side (furniture assembly and disassembly).
West End, West Park and the parkways
Brick and stone homes near Cedar Crest Boulevard, Muhlenberg College and the parks along the Cedar Creek have deep porches, wide staircases and plenty of plaster. They get full banister and door-frame protection. Heirlooms and art can get our white-glove moving service.
Downtown apartments
Newer apartment buildings downtown, near the arena and along Hamilton Street, usually require a certificate of insurance, a reserved elevator and a set move window. Send us the building’s rules and we’ll send management the COI. Our apartment movers page has more on building moves.
The suburbs and the boroughs
Emmaus and Macungie. Borough twins and singles on village streets, many with a single-lane driveway or none at all. We plan parking with you ahead of time.
Upper and Lower Macungie, Breinigsville, Fogelsville and Trexlertown. The Route 100 and Route 222 corridor keeps adding new single-family homes and townhomes. HOA rules on move-in hours and truck parking, brand-new floors and fresh drywall come with the territory, and we protect all of it.
South Whitehall, Orefield and Whitehall. Split-levels, ranches and colonials from the 1950s on, many sold by longtime owners who are downsizing. Our senior moving crews take their time, and junk removal handles what’s not making the trip.
Coopersburg, Center Valley and Limeport. Southern Lehigh’s mix of newer colonials and older farmhouses sits closest to our Quakertown vaults. Between closings? With move-and-store, the household rides Route 309 once, waits in a vault, and comes back when you have the keys.
Planning around Lehigh Valley traffic
Route 22 through Whitehall and Allentown, I-78 near the Route 100 interchange, MacArthur Road and Hamilton Boulevard can each stall a moving day. We set arrival windows with that traffic in mind, so your crew shows up when we said it would.

Questions for our Lehigh County residential movers
Our Allentown rowhome has a back alley. Can you load from there?
Often, yes. During the estimate we compare the front stoop and the rear alley, check where the truck can stop, and pick whichever route is safer for your furniture and your walls.
Will you take apart furniture that won’t fit up a rowhome staircase?
Yes. Taking apart and reassembling standard beds, tables and similar pieces is part of every move. We’ll tell you during the estimate if anything needs special handling.
Can you move us into a downtown Allentown apartment building?
Yes. Send us the building’s requirements. We’ll provide the certificate of insurance to management and plan the crew around your elevator reservation.
Does your Quakertown warehouse help with Lehigh County moves?
Yes. It’s a short drive down Route 309 from Coopersburg and Center Valley, which makes move-and-store easy when your closing dates don’t line up.
How far ahead should we book?
Call as soon as you have a date. Weekends, month-end and the college move-in and move-out weeks fill first.
